    After breakfast, take a scenic drive (approximately 1.5-2 hours) to the ancient city of Bago, once the capital of the Mon Kingdom.
  • Visit Shwemawdaw Pagoda
    Start your Bago excursion with a visit to Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of Myanmar’s most revered and tallest pagodas. Its golden stupa stands at 114 meters high, offering a stunning sight.
  • Explore the Kyaikpun Pagoda
    Admire the famous Kyaikpun Pagoda, home to four giant Buddha statues sitting back to back, each facing a different direction. The historical significance and impressive size make it a must-see site.

Afternoon:

  • Lunch in Bago
    Enjoy a traditional Burmese meal in the heart of Bago before heading to your next stop.
  • Visit the Kanbawzathadi Palace
    After lunch, visit the ruins of the Kanbawzathadi Palace, the former royal palace of King Bayinnaung. While the palace is in ruins, the site offers insight into the grandeur of Bago’s ancient royal history.
  • Return to Yangon
    Drive back to Yangon in the late afternoon.
