Tribal Visit

Yangon - Heho - Inlay - Kyaing Tong (7 days/ 6 nights)

Day 1: Yangon arrival

Meet on arrival at Yangon International Airport by Exotic Myanmar guide. Transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Bogyoke Aung San Market, formerly known as Scott market. Evening visit to Shwedagon Pagoda - 2500 year old world famous stupa. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon - Heho - Inlay

Breakfast at hotel. In time transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Meet on arrival at Heho airport by station guide. Check in hotel. An excursion by boat on Inlay Lake will include seeing the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local method of fishing and village life. Visit to floating market (available to see on the market days only which is held on every five days). Further visits are made to Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the weaving village of Inpawkhon (famous for its silk weaving handlooms), Ngaphechaung Monastery - well known for its jumping cats - and other interesting sights. Dinner at hotel. Overnight Inlay.

Day 3: Inlay - Heho - Kyaing Tong

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to Heho airport for flight to Kyaing Tong. Meet on arrival at Heho airport by station guide. Check in hotel. Visit to Wan Pauk village by car, the village of the red clothed Palaung with silver and lacquered waist-bands. Dinner at Royal View Restaurant where you can see the aerial view of Naung Tong Lake. Overnight Kyaing Tong.

Day 4: Kyaing Tong

Breakfast at hotel. Visit to Kat Tauk area, Pin Tauk village and then hiking to see Akha and Ann tribes. Picnic lunch at Pin Tauk Waterfall. Proceed to see a Wan Kan villager making Sake Rice Wine with traditional process. Dinner with Shan food at local restaurant. Overnight Kyaing Tong.

Day 5: Kyaing Tong

Breakfast at hotel. One and a half hour drive to Pan Kwai village through Tachileik direction. Continue upwards to Hokyin mountain to visit four villages of Akha tribe. A 45 minute walk from one village to another is a pleasant soft trek and it is interesting to see how the people stay together with their own different beliefs. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Kyaing Tong.

Day 6: Kyaing Tong- Yangon

Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to Wan Sai village, a traditional tribal village of Akhe tribe. Also visit to Ann tribe's Ho Lung village on the way. In time transfer to Heho airport for flight to Yangon. Dinner at local restaurant. Transfer to hotel. Overnight Yangon.

Day 7: Yangon departure

Breakfast at hotel. In time transfer to airport for international departure.
