DAY 01. YANGON ARRIVAL

Upon arrival Yangon International Airport, welcome by our tour guide and transfer to hotel. Aftrnoon sightseeing tour includes downtown area : the Old colonial style City Center Buildings, CHINA TOWN, the gilded SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2000 years and tranquil KANDAWGYI LAKE and photo stop at the KARAWEIK HALL, royal floating Barge. This is an ideal spot to take pictures of the lake and the beautiful garden and trees linging its shores. An extended visit to SHWEDAGON PAGODA, one of the wonders of the world, will conclude the tours of this picturesque Garden City. The golden dome of Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and its cover with 60 tons of pure gold and famous for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar culture. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 02. YANGON-MANDALAY (BY NIGHT TRAIN)

Morning sighseeing includes KABAAYE (World Peace) Pagoda; MAHAPASANA GUHA CAVE, where sixth Buddhist synod took place and CHAUKHTATKYI, a colossal reclining Buddha Image. Afternoon transfer to Yangon Railways Station to take the overnight train to Mandalay. Overnight on the train.

DAY 03. MANDALAY-MINGUN-MANDALAY (BY BOAT)

Upon arrival at Mandalay Railways Station, transfer to the hotel. Refreshment and breakfast. Direct excursion to Mingun by boat along mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. Visit the MINGUN PAGODA, the world's biggest ringing bell, the MYATHEINDAN PAGODA. Back to Mandalay and visit the traditional handicraft workshop such as gold-leave beating, tapestry, the KUTHODAW PAGODA, the SHWENANDAW (Golden Palace) Monastery, etc. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

DAY 04. MANDALAY-AMARAPURA-SAGAING-AVA(INWA)-MANDALAY (BY CAR)

After breakfast, transfer to Yangon Airport for domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival at Mandalay, proceed directly to AMARAPURA for sightseeing. Visit MAHAGANDAYON MONASTERY, a famous Buddhist monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study Buddhist literature, and the 200-years-old U BEIN teak bridge, built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital. Then, drive to SAGAING HILLS over AVA Bridge across the Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing, once an ancient capital, lies 21 km south west of Mandalay, besides the Ayeyarwaddy River. SAGAING HILLS are dotted with pagodas and there are over 500 monasteries and meditation centers, a retreat for 6000 monks and nuns. Visit SOON U PONYA SHIN PAGODA, U MIN THONESE PAGODA. After that, proceed sightseeing to the former royal capital of INWA (Ava), reached by a short boat trip. Visits by horse-drawn carriage include NANMYINT WATCH TOWER, the remains of a palace building nicknamed "leaning tower of Ava", MAHAAUNGMYE BONZAN MONASTERY (built of bricks and stucco) and BARGAYAR MONASTERY, famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts. And then drive back to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 05. MANDALAY-MONYWA

Morning drive to MONYWA. On arrival check in hotel. Visit the incredibly ornate THAMBUDDHE TEMPLE, one of the most beautiful pagodas in Myanmar; Bodhi-Ta-Htaung, 1000 Bo tresss sheltering 1000 Buddha images.
Overnight at the hotel in Monywa.

DAY 06. MONYWA-POWINTAUNG CAVES-KYAUKKA VILLAGE-MONYWA

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the jetty and cross the Chindwin river by ferry. Take the pick up to Powintaung Caves and visit. Back to Monywa and proceed to Kyaukka village to observe the lacquerware. Return to Monywa and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 07. MONYWA-MYINMU-BAGAN (BY CAR/BOAT)

After breakfast, drive to MYINMU. Upon arrival at Myinmu, transfer to the jetty to take the boat to Bagan. Upon arrival at Bagan, check in hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

DAY 08. BAGAN SIGHTSEEING

In the morning, proceed on a sightseeing tour, starting with a busy local market and continuing with visits to a diverse selection of the most important pagodas and temples such as SHWEZIGON PAGODA, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, KU BYAUK GYI, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, KHAY MIN GA TEMPLE, noted for its spectacular panoramic view of the area's many monuments, and ANADA TEMPLE with four huge standing-Buddha images and numerous seated figures arranged around the interior gallery. Lunch is followed by a visit to a lacquer craftsmen's workshop in nearby MYINKABA village. Sightseeing continues with visits to MANUHA TEMPLE, built in Mon style in 1059, NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique sandstone monument that is said to have been the palace of King Manuha, and MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI TEMPLE (under the protection of UNESCO), noted for its ancient mural paintings. The ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM and its collection of bronze, stone and lacquer Buddha images, clothes and gems, may also be visited. Observe a sunset in the vicinity of Bagan's ancient monuments. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 09. BAGAN-MT.POPA-KALAW (BY CAR)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mt.Popa. On the way, observe the beauty of tropical area. Upon arrival at the base, climb up to the top of Mt.Popa Cliff Temple to enjoy the natural scenery. Come down and proceed to Kalaw. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Overnight at the hotel in Kalaw.

DAY 10. KALAW-PINDAYA (BY CAR)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Drive to PINDAYA. Visit the BOTALOKE LAKE, PINDAYA CAVES, PARASOL WORKSHOP, the SINGGAUNG SHAN MONASTERY. Overnight in Pindaya.

DAY 11. PINDAYA-INLE (BY CAR)

Drive to NYAUNG SHWE (90km-two and half hours). An excursion by boat on INLE LAKE will include seeing the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens and local method of fishing and village life. Lunch is served at a local restaurant on the lake. Further visits are made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, NGA PHE CHAUNG (Jumping cats) MONASTERY, the weaving village of INPAWKHON and other sights. If the time permits, watch birds roots in the bushes. Overnight in Inle.

DAY 12. INLE-INDEIN SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast at the hotel, boat excursion to the middle of the lake, continue down a small canal leading to the village of In Dein to visit the ancient Pagoda. In the afternoon continue to visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda; the stilted village of Ywama to visit its silver smith workshops; the Nga Phe Kyaung village to visit its floating garden and "Jumping Cat" teak monastery containing 16th & 17th century Lacquer Buddha Images. Also visit Inn Paw Khone village where traditional silk weaving is produced; Nam Pan village with its cigar factory and blacksmiths. Return to hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Inle Lake.

DAY 13. INLE-HEHO-KYAING TONG (BY FLIGHT)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Kyaing Tong. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Take the coach about 0100 hour to a small village to start trekking. After 45 minutes trekking, AKHA VILLAGE would be reached. Visit around the village and proceed trekking about 30 minutes to M Village. Observe the innocent hill tribes. Back to coach and drive back to Kyaing Tong. Overnight at the hotel in Kyaing Tong.

DAY 14. KYAING TONG TREKKING

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Take the coach about 0130 hours. Then, trekking about 0130 hours to Akha four villages and visit around the villages, which have different cultures, religions, etc. Back to the coach and proceed to Ngwetaungyan Palaung villages. Finally, drive back to Kyaing Tong. Overnight at the hotel in Kyaing Tong.

DAY 15. KYAING TONG SIGHTSEEING

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Take the coach to Akhi village and visit. Then, continue to Pintauk village to start trekking. After 0100 hour, arrival village and visit around. Back to coach and finally, visit Wunpauk Palaung village. Back to hotel and overnight at the hotel in Kyaing Tong.

DAY 16. KYAING TONG-THAI BORDER CROSS FOR DEPARTURE

 

EMT 02 - 16  YANGON – MAWLAMYINE – HPA-AN – KYAIKHTIYO – BAGAN – MANDALAY - HEHO (16 DAYS / 15 NIGHT) COACH

DAY 01. YANGON ARRIVAL

DAY 02. YANGON – MAWLAMYINE (BY CAR)

After Breakfast, drive to Mawlamyaing (formerly Moulmein), 270 Km southeast of Yangon and lies on the mouth of Thanlwin River. Mawlamyaing has many old colonial buildings still remain along the quiet streets. Enroute to Mawlamyaing, enjoy beautiful countryside area with rubber and seasonal fruits plantations and pagodas over the mountain ranges. After arrival, take some leisure. Overnight in Mawlamyine.

DAY 03. MAWLAMYINE – BILU ISLAND (BY CAR / BOAT)

After the morning Breakfast, take a trip to Bilu Island, especially Ywa Lut and Zibyu Villages, by car as well as by local boat to see the scerenity and scenic view of the island and people's way of life. That is a day return trip and night stop at Mawlamyine.

DAY 04. MAWLAMYINE – HPA-AN (BY CAR)

After Breakfast, overland visit to Pha-an, on the beautiful Thanlwin River. The first sightseeing is Mt. Zwekabin ( 11 km south of Hpa An and 722m high). It is famous as a sacred, tall and landmark mountain of Kayin State. Kayon Cave, Saddan Cave ( 10 to 15 minutes last to explore through the cave to other side) and Kawgun Cave( near Kawgun Village) are on the way and there are so many pagodas. Overnight at Hpa-an.

DAY 05. HPA-AN – KYAIKHTIYO ( BY CAR)

After having the Breakfast, overland visit to Golden Rock, the world exotic pagoda and 160 km far from Yangon. That exotic Golden Rock is balanced on the edge of a cliff at the top of Mt.Kyaik Htee Yoe and it is one of the most sacred Buddhist site in Myanmar like Shwedagon in Yangon and Mahamuni in Mandalay. After, take 45 minutes car ride up to Yathetaung Bus Terminal and walk 45 minutes up to the pagoda. Golden Rock is like a hermit's head and capped with a 6 meter high gilded pagoda perched precariously on the edge of a precipice, 1100 m above sea level. Sightseeing the famous places and enjoy the sunset time on the hill overlooking the panoramic view over Sittaung river valley, green forest and beautiful mountain ranges etc. Overnight at Kyaikhtiyo.

DAY 06. KYAIKHTIYO – BAGO - YANGON ( BY CAR)

In the morning, pay homage the Golden Rock and climb down from the Top of the Mountain. And back to Yangon by car about 4 hours. Enroute to Yangon, visit to Bago (80 km from Yangon), Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Shwethalyaung, the world's most beautiful Reclining Buddha, Kyaikpun Pagoda and wood curving industry and back to Yangon in the evening. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 07. YANGON – BAGAN (BY FLIGHT / CAR)

Morning breakfat at the hotel, transfer to Yangon Airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival in Bagan, transfer to hotel. Sightseeing includes NYAUNG OO MARKET, and continuing with visits to a diverse such as SHWEZIGON PAGODA, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th Century, GU BYAUK GYI, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, KHAY MIN GA TEMPLE, noted for its spectacular panoramic view of the area's many monuments, and ANANDA TEMPLE, with its four huge standing – Buddha images and numerous seated figures arrange around the interior gallery. HTILOMINLO TEMPLE, noted for its plaster carvings and THARABAR GATE, the only remaining gate of 9 Century A.D. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 08. BAGAN SIGHTSEEING (BY CAR)

After breakfast, morning sightseeing includes to a lacquer craftmen's workshop in near by MYINKABA Village. sightseeing continues with visits to MANUHA TEMPLE, built in Mon style in 1059, NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique sandstone monument that is such to have been the palace of King Manuha, and MYINGABA GU BYAUK GYI TEMPLE (under the protection of UNESCO) , noted for its ancient mural paintings. DHAMAYANGYI TEMPLE, a massive temple with the finest brickworks; MINGALA ZEDI PAGODA, the last pagoda in Bagan dynasty and SHWESANDAW PAGODA, its especially for the sunset. Observe a sunset in the vicinity of Bagan's ancient monuments.
Sightseeing continues to MINNANTHU VILLAGE area. Tour Highlight; LAYMYETHNA PAGODA and MONASTERY; PAYATHONEZU TEMPLE, with the colourful painting; TAYOKEPYAY TEMPLE, noted for its plaster carving and one can see the panoramic view from the top of that temple. THAMBULA TEMPLE, for its mural paintings and NANDAPYINNYA TEMPLE together with cave monastery.
And then visit to lacquer ware industry; SEIN-NYET TEMPLE PAGODA, in the same compound; APEYADANA TEMPLE with 11 century mural paintings, NANBAYA TEMPLE, MYA-ZEDI PAGODA noted for the four languages stone inscription; SHWEGUGYI TEMPLE. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 09. BAGAN – MT.POPA – BAGAN ( BY CAR)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Mount Popa – an extinct volcano. It is also well known as a holly place for all the nats (spirits) of Myanmar. Sightseeing Mount Popa and its lovely oasis environs. Lunch at popa Mountain Resort Hotel where one could see the panoramic view of the surrounding. After lunch, will drive back to Bagan. On the way, stop at a roadside stall to witness the local way of climbing up the palm tree the making the jaggery. Overnight at the hotel in Bagan.

DAY 10. BAGAN – MANDALAY (BY BOAT)

Morning transfer to airport for domestic flight to MANDALAY. Mandalay – the center of Myanmar Arts & Crafts, by morning flight. Meet and transfer to hotel for check in. After check-in hotel, start sightseeing Mandalay by visiting: MAHA MUNI IMAGE – a bronze Buddha image cast during the lifetime of Buddha himself, tapestry works, Marble carving workshop, and Gold leaf beating workshop. After lunch, continue visit to: SHWESANDAW MONASTERY – noted for its exquisite wood carvings, ATUMASHI MONASTERY, KUTHODAW PAGODA – known as the world biggest book; and finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the city. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 11. MANDALAY - MINGUN – MANDALAY (BY BOAT/ CAR)

After breakfast, boat excursion (one hour each way) up the AYEYARWADDY RIMVER to MINGUN, site of the world's largest intact bronze bell, 3.7 meters high and weighting 87 tons. Also visit the huge but unfinished MINGUN PAYA (built with the intention of being the world's biggest pagoda) and the beautiful HSINBYUME PAYA, SETTAWYA PAGODA, MYATHEINDAN PAGODA with seven concentric terraces at the base. Transfer to the hotel in Mandalay. After lunch, sightseeing includes MAHAMUNI BUDDHA IMAGE with its spectacular buddha image covered with thick layer of gold leaves, SHWE NAN DAW KYAUNG (or GOLDEN PALACE MONASTERY), a superb example of a traditional wooden building, and KUTHODAW PAGODA (known as the world's largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Mandalay Airport for the flight to HEHO. Upon arrival Heho and transfer to NYAUNG SHWE and continue by boat to your hotel. After lunch, take a boat excursion on INLE LAKE to see the famous leg rowers, wonderful floating gardens, floating farms, floating villages, PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, natives method of fishing and village life, traditional weaving industry, jumping cats monastery (NGA PHE KYAUNG MONASTERY), the weaving village of INPAWKHON and other sights such as Lotus fiber weaving workshop and if the time permits, watch birds roots in the bushes. Transfer to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Inle Lake.

DAY 14. INLE – INDEIN ( BY BOAT)

Morning visit to colorful Market, where one can see several hill tribes selling and buying fresh vegetable and regional products.Then 45 minutes boat trip to Indein village on the western shore of the lake to visit ancient Shwe Indein Pagoda complex following a stair path lined up with magnificent columns. Overnight in Inle Lake.

DAY 15. INLE – HEHO – YANGON ( BY FLIGHT / BOAT / CAR)

Morning excursion by boat on INLE LAKE will include seeing the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens and local method of fishing and village life. Lunch is served at a local restaurant on the lake. Further visits are made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, NGA PHE CHAUNG (Jumping cats) MONASTERY, the weaving village of INPAWKHON and other sights. DAY 01. YANGON ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport , welcome by our tour guide. Tansfer to hotel for check-in and sightseeing tour includes downtown area : the China Town, Bogyoke Market known as Scott Market: Myanmar famous gems and jewellery sales centers, the Old colonial style City Center Buildings, the guilded Sule Pagoda dating back over 2,000 years, Hotel Strand. In the evening visit to Shwedagon Pagoda one of the wonder of the world and famous for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar culture. Overnig ht in Yangon.

DAY 02. YANGON – SITTWE – MRAUK-U (BY FLIGHT / CAR / BOAT)

After breakfast, transfer to the Airport for domestic flight to Sittwe: Capital of Rakhine State. It is situated at South West of Myanmar at Rakhine Coast. Upon arrival Sittwe, transfer to the jetty for a boat trip to Mrauk-U. It will takes about 5 hours boat trip along the Kaladan River to Mrauk-U. Mrauk-U is situated 65 Km by boat from Sittwe and an ancient capital of Rakhine dynasty. It served as the last great Rakhine capital for 354 years from 1430 to 1784. And arrival Mrauk-U in the late evening, transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Mrauk-U.

DAY 03. MRAUK-U SIGHTSEEING (BY CAR)

Morning breakfast at the hotel, proceed sightseeing to Shittaung Pagoda, it was built by using maily stones, Ratanabon Stupa and Htaukkan Thein Temple, all of these were built in Mrauk-U periods of Rakhine dynasty, and then proceed to the old palace site surrounded by ruins of walls, Pauk-pin Gate, Let-se-kan and Thet-kya-man-aung Pagoda.
Afternoon excursion to the Vesali, old capital of Rakhine, 6 miles to the north. Sightseeing there and proceed to Kyaut-taw Town to visit famous Mahamuni Buddha Image. Return to Mrauk-U. Overnight in Mrauk-U.

DAY 04. MRAUK-U – SITTWE (BY BOAT/ CAR)

After breakfast, transfer to the jetty for a boat trip to Sittwe. Upon arrival Sittwe, visit Phaya Gyi Pagoda, Paymya Monastery,U Ye Kyaw Thu Building and fish market on the river bank. In the evening, visit Lighthouse Point and relax on the sandy beach and enjoy the sunset. To see people’s way of life, walk along Strand Road. Overnight at Sittwe.

DAY 05. SITTWE – THANDWE – NGAPALI BEACH (BY FLIGHT / CAR)

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Sittwe Airport for domestic flight to Thandwe. Upon arrival at Thandwe, drive to Napali, which occupy soft silver sands are provided by the swaying of palms, serves as the best beach for sunbathing recreations. Overnight at hotel in Ngapali Beach.

After breakfast, morning sightseeing includes to a lacquer craftmen's workshop in near by MYINKABA Village. sightseeing continues with visits to MANUHA TEMPLE, built in Mon style in 1059, NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique sandstone monument that is such to have been the palace of King Manuha, and MYINGABA GU BYAUK GYI TEMPLE (under the protection of UNESCO) , noted for its ancient mural paintings. DHAMAYANGYI TEMPLE, a massive temple with the finest brickworks; MINGALA ZEDI PAGODA, the last pagoda in Bagan dynasty and SHWESANDAW PAGODA, its especially for the sunset. Observe a sunset in the vicinity of Bagan's ancient monuments.
Sightseeing continues to MINNANTHU VILLAGE area. Tour Highlight; LAYMYETHNA PAGODA and MONASTERY; PAYATHONEZU TEMPLE, with the colourful painting; TAYOKEPYAY TEMPLE, noted for its plaster carving and one can see the panoramic view from the top of that temple. THAMBULA TEMPLE, for its mural paintings and NANDAPYINNYA TEMPLE together with cave monastery.
And then visit to lacquer ware industry; SEIN-NYET TEMPLE PAGODA, in the same compound; APEYADANA TEMPLE with 11 century mural paintings, NANBAYA TEMPLE, MYA-ZEDI PAGODA noted for the four languages stone inscription; SHWEGUGYI TEMPLE. Overnight in Bagan.
***As Bagan is the richest archaeological site in Asia, there are over 2000 pagodas and temples. If you have something special in your thought apart of above, you could discuss with your guide for your interest.

DAY 11. BAGAN – MANDALAY (BY FLIGHT/ CAR)

After breakfast, visit to Maha Bawdi Pagoda, Manuha Temple, built in Mon style in 1059, Nan Phaya, a unique sandstone monument that is said to have been the palace of King Manuha, Dhamma Razaka Zedi, Phya Thet Gyi Pagoda, and then transfer to Nyaung-U Airport for flight to Mandalay. Arrival Mandalay, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 12. MANDALAY – MINGUN – MANDALAY (BY CAR/ BOAT)

After breakfast, boat excursion (one hour each way) up the AYEYARWADDY RIVER to MINGUN, site of the world's largest intact bronze bell, 3.7 meters high and weighting 87 tons. Also visit the huge but unfinished MINGUN PAYA (built with the intention of being the world's biggest pagoda) and the beautiful HSINBYUME PAYA, SETTAWYA PAGODA, MYATHEINDAN PAGODA with seven concentric terraces at the base. Transfer to the hotel in Mandalay. After lunch, sightseeing includes MAHAMUNI BUDDHA IMAGE with its spectacular buddha image covered with thick layer of gold leaves, SHWE NAN DAW KYAUNG (or GOLDEN PALACE MONASTERY), a superb example of a traditional wooden building, and KUTHODAW PAGODA (known as the world's largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

DAY 13. MANDALAY – HEHO – INLE (BY FLIGHT/ CAR / BOAT)

Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Mandalay Airport for the flight to HEHO. Upon arrival Heho and transfer to NYAUNG SHWE and continue by boat to your hotel. After lunch, take a boat excursion on INLE LAKE to see the famous leg rowers, wonderful floating gardens, floating farms, floating villages, PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, natives method of fishing and village life, traditional weaving industry, jumping cats monastery (NGA PHE KYAUNG MONASTERY), the weaving village of INPAWKHON and other sights such as Lotus fiber weaving workshop and if the time permits, watch birds roots in the bushes. Transfer to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Inle Lake.

DAY 14. INLE – INDEIN ( BY BOAT)

Morning visit to colorful Market, where one can see several hill tribes selling and buying fresh vegetable and regional products.Then 45 minutes boat trip to Indein village on the western shore of the lake to visit ancient Shwe Indein Pagoda complex following a stair path lined up with magnificent columns. Overnight in Inle Lake.

DAY 15. INLE – HEHO – YANGON (BY FLIGHT/ CAR)

Morning excursion by boat on INLE LAKE will include seeing the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens and local method of fishing and village life. Lunch is served at a local restaurant on the lake. Further visits are made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, NGA PHE CHAUNG (Jumping cats) MONASTERY, the weaving village of INPAWKHON and other sights. If the time permits, watch birds roots in the bushes. Overnight in Inle. Then transfer to Heho for flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 16. YANGON DEPARTURE
